Crying on a beach with no clients MindsetBusinessMy Everyday Aug 18 Written By Alice Benham Whilst scrolling through my 20,000 strong camera roll (should really sort that out) I came across this photo taken almost a year ago. I remember this moment so clearly. Almost a year after pivoting to coaching I had no new clients and barely any traction. The savings from my first year of business were about to run out. And despite months of work, nothing felt like it was working. Disheartened, confused, frustrated and let's be honest, sad, I remember walking down to the beach and sobbing. It was the first time I'd really admitted to myself what was going on. It was also the first time I'd really considered giving up. And I'm so grateful to say it was the last. I compare that snapshot to where I am now and can't quite believe it's only been 12 months. If you'd told the me in this photo about all the opportunities, ideas and highlights which were on the way, I wouldn't have believed you. I'm so grateful I found this photo. Partly because I never stop to appreciate what's gone before. But mainly because it gives me an opportunity to show you that wherever you are is OK. Keep taking that next step. Trust in what you're building. Stop comparing your chapter 2 to someone else chapter 20. And most of all, ugly cry on a beach if you need to. PS - just remember to take a photo so you can turn it into #content a year later. 286 Likes, 77 Comments - AB | Digital Marketing Coach (@alice_benham) on Instagram: "Whilst scrolling through my 20,000 strong camera roll (should really sort that out) I came across..."
