'Value-driven' doesn't have to mean compromise

If I get to have a legacy let it be this - that businesses can be both successful AND value driven.

Nothing gets me more fired up than the assumption that we have to pick between the two... either having success (making money, being strategic, creating impact etc) or sticking to our values and being nice.

YOUR BUSINESS CAN AND SHOULD DO BOTH.
✖️Nobody needs trampling on in order for you to succeed.
✖️Values are what makes your business stronger not smaller.
✖️Wanting to scale doesn’t make you a gross person (also fine if you don’t want to).
✖️You can be successful without being dick.

It’s a narrative I’m tired of seeing and one I’m determined to disprove with the little corner of the industry / internet I can control. One value driven and bloody successful step at a time.

This postcard from @theenthusiast.co arrived as I was deep in the post launch hangover and craving a reminder of what matters. Thanks Ellie, please never stop eating huge grapes and being a kind human.
