Lessons from Lockdown

This time last week the news of lockdown #2 had just been delivered and for me, the feelings of anxiety, frustration and uncertainty were back.

I spiralled for a good 20 minutes... until I remembered - we’ve been here before. We’re not going into this blind. We understand what impact it’ll have, we’ve learnt how to adapt and most importantly, we know we’ll make it our the other side.

After realising this I went straight into my notes app and wrote a letter to the me at the start of lockdown #1, sharing everything which looking back, I wish she’d have known.

Reading it back was everything I needed. We may be going into another season of challenge and change but we’re so much more equipped. And that’s not something to forget.

So, what would you say to the you of lockdown #1? I’m going to bet that those words may just be what you need to hear right now.
