Time is a funny thing BusinessMy Everyday Mar 20 Written By Alice Benham Time is a funny thing. 4 years ago I had just left school halfway through A-Levels, adamant that I wanted 'more' but acting against the opinions of pretty much everyone in my life. 3 years ago I said yes to an opportunity, gave it my everything and without realising, built a financially successful but ultimately soulless business. 2 years ago I was 9 months in, burnt out and taking 6 months off to re-discover what it looked like to untangle the relationship between what I did and how I felt (aka sit in bed, go to therapy and travel a lot). ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ 1 year ago I was rebuilding my business in a sustainable way, experiencing for the first time what it felt like to have no clients, not 100% know where things were going and feel a bit like I'd failed. And then now. A business I love. A (somewhat) sustainable balance - still working on that one. And a far from linear story I'm oh so grateful to call my own. What will a year from now hold? Well if the last 4 years are anything to go by, your guess is as good as mine.
